Melissa Fasteau, PsyD
Dr. Fasteau is the postdoctoral fellow at the Houston OCD Program with considerable experience in treating depression and anxiety disorders. She earned her BA in Brain, Behavior, and Cognitive Science and Biological Anthropology at the University of Michigan (Go Blue!) and her MA and Psy.D in Clinical Psychology at Yeshiva University’s Ferkauf Graduate School of Psychology. Her graduate clinical work focused primarily on evidence-based treatments including the provision of cognitive-behavioral therapy, exposure and response prevention, and assessment. Dr. Fasteau’s clinical experience includes working with diverse populations in community mental health care settings, college counseling, adults with severe and persistent mental illness, and adults with learning disabilities. She completed her pre-doctoral internship at the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston, Texas, where she focused on substance abuse treatment, developmental assessments for children, and early intervention for young adults in an inpatient setting.
