Sarah Kertz, PhD
Co-Director of Research
Dr. Sarah Kertz completed her Ph.D. in clinical psychology at the University of Louisville. She trained at McLean Hospital/Harvard Medical School for her predoctoral internship and postdoctoral fellowship. She joined the HOP as co-director of research in 2014 and is also an assistant professor in the psychology department at Southern Illinois University where she directs the Anxiety, Behavior, and Cognition Research Lab. Her research interests include the development of anxiety and worry in children, the role of attention and repetitive negative thinking in anxiety and related disorders, and novel treatment interventions for anxiety, including the use of technology and web-based applications.
