Residential Counselor

Oluwatosin Akintan was born and raised in Nigeria, she graduated from The University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelors of Arts degree in Psychology with a minor in Educational Psychology and earned her Masters of Education degree in Counseling from The University of Houston. Currently working towards her LPC intern license Oluwatosin has interests in trauma in children, family dynamics and the treatment of substance abuse and depression in minority communities. She completed her graduate internship at Inner Wisdom providing individual and group therapy along with psychoeducational groups on substance abuse, coping skills and communication skills. Oluwatosin works as a residential counselor for the McLean OCD Institute // Houston and has received training in Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Exposure Response Prevention. In her free time Oluwatosin enjoys tending to her plants, dancing, and reading (for fun).
